NRHA Board member Steve Harris present.

Additions & Corrections to May 8 Meeting:  Nathan O’Conner was present.

  1. Budget/Finance:  Nettie Baker shared with the board a member’s interest in the

NCRHA financial statements.  It was again stressed that all members are welcome to attend our monthly board meetings or to contact Al Gadola directly for any questions.  In addition, a commitment was made to have Al Gadola give a year end financial standing in our general membership meeting held at our annual award banquet.

  1. Newsletter/Directory:   Directorys will be mailed shortly with an updated mailing list.  Ideas were discussed about the possibility of having the Newsletter emailed directly to all members and on the NCRHA web site.   In 2006, the cost of printing and mailing the newsletter was approximately $2,100.00.  Having the bulk on the newsletters emailed may help reduce costs significantly.  Janice Fier and Diane Clark will work together on the feasibility and concept of this idea in addition to sending a postcard to all members inquiring if they wish to receive the newsletter via snail mail or email.

  1. Red Horse Show:  Steve DeFrang & Al Gadola are show managers.  A Short Stirrup class will be offered.

  1. NCRHA Futurity:  There will not be “Claim A Reiner” class as the coordinator is out of town. Sire & Dam monies raised are approximately $38,000.  2007 show schedule with terms & conditions are schedule to be mailed.

A motion was made by Chad Clark and seconded by Ann Riewer to have stall fees at $125.00 instead of $150.00 while remaining High Point Composite Score Monetary Program still intact.  After further discussion Chad Clark withdrew his original motion and moved a comprehensive 2 year plan of increasing stalls fees in 2007 to $125 and 2008 stall fees to $150.  The proposal would help raise funds to implement the 2007 high point composite Score Monetary Program of $2500.00 in addition to  committing $11,500 to the Derby and & Ancillary divisions, beginning in the year 2008.   Conditional on the stalls and entries are comparable to 2006 numbers.  Seconded by Nathan O’Connor. Motion carried with no dissenting votes.
